Refund Policy — WritePath Education (United States)

Effective date: 14 October 2026

Which edition applies to you: this is the US edition of our refund policy. If you live outside the US, our main Refund Policy applies: writepatheducation.com/policies/refund-policy. The 30-day promise itself is the same in both.

If WritePath isn't right for your child, ask us within 30 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full.

When the 30 days start

The 30 days run from your first membership payment. The free first week doesn't count toward them — and it isn't charged, so there is nothing to refund if you try the free week and don't subscribe.

What we refund

The full amount you have paid for that membership at the time you ask — on a monthly plan, the payment you have made; on a yearly plan, the full year. Refunds go back to your original payment method, in full, with no deductions and no proration.

How to ask

Sign in, go to My Account, choose the membership, click Cancel membership, then Request refund, and confirm. That's the whole process — no form to fill in, no reasons required, no one to convince. (The button, rather than email or phone, is what starts a refund: it timestamps your request and protects your place in the 30 days.)

The Request refund button is available for 30 days from your first payment. After that, it no longer appears in My Account. If you're having trouble signing in, contact us within the 30 days and we'll help you get back in while the button is still there.

When your request goes through

As soon as your request goes through, the membership ends and your child's access stops immediately. Access doesn't continue while the refund is processed, and nothing can renew. If your family has already used the 30-day promise, the request can't go through: we'll explain why, no refund is made, and your membership runs to the end of the period you've paid for. You can reactivate if you'd like to stay.

When you'll have it

We process refunds within 7 days of your request. Your bank or card issuer then typically takes a further 5–10 business days to show the money back in your account.

What happens to the membership

Access ends as soon as your refund request goes through, not when the refund is processed. Every piece of feedback already sent stays in your family's inboxes — that's yours to keep. Your account data follows the Privacy Policy, including your right to have it deleted on request.

One refund per family

The 30-day promise is available once. If it has already been used — on this membership or another one for the same child or household — a later membership isn't covered by it. You're welcome to subscribe again any time; the promise just doesn't reapply.

After the 30 days

Once 30 days have passed since your first payment, the Request refund button no longer appears. You can still cancel any time from My Account: cancelling stops future charges, and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. No contracts, no exit fees.

Memberships paid for by a tutor or school

Memberships funded through our Educator Partner Program, a tutor, or a school run on the sponsoring arrangement's terms, and the 30-day promise doesn't apply to them. The refund button appears only on memberships you pay for directly.

Before you raise a chargeback

Within the 30 days, please use the refund button first — it's faster than a chargeback, and it's the process we've built to say yes quickly. After the 30 days, write to us at hello@writepatheducation.com before you go to your bank; if something has gone wrong, we would rather put it right.

Changes to this policy

The version of this policy in force on the date of your payment is the one that applies to that payment.

Your rights under U.S. law

The 30-day promise is something we offer voluntarily. It is in addition to any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your state, not a replacement for them, and nothing in this policy limits rights those laws don't allow to be waived. Those rights don't depend on the refund button or on the 30 days: to raise a claim under your state's consumer laws, contact us at hello@writepatheducation.com.
