Assessment Service: Constructive Feedback 

Remember the nervous anticipation you felt as a student, eagerly awaiting your teacher's feedback? the excitement of a well-marked paper? or perhaps the determination that followed a difficult critique? Our program revives that valuable experience with thoughtful, constructive feedback that fuels motivation, builds resilience, and promotes learning. We celebrate achievements while constructively addressing areas of growth, cultivating a joy of learning and an unstoppable drive to succeed.

Key Areas  Assessment Criteria
Content:   Understanding: Does the student demonstrate an understanding of the topic?
 Clarity of Ideas: Are the ideas presented in a clear and concise manner?
 Originality: Does the student present unique perspectives and insights?
 Argument/Evidence: If the writing is persuasive or argumentative, does the student provide compelling evidence? Are their points logically sound?
 Structure: Does the writing have a clear beginning, middle, and end? Is it well-organized?

Language and Style:   Tone: Is the tone appropriate for the subject matter and audience?
  Voice: Is the student's personal voice evident in their writing?
  Word Choice: Does the student use a variety of vocabulary and avoid repetition?
  Sentence Structure: Are sentences varied in length and structure? Does the student effectively use a variety of sentence types?
  Figurative Language: Does the student use metaphors, similes, or other figurative language effectively?

Grammar:  Spelling: Are words spelled correctly?
 Punctuation: Is punctuation used correctly to enhance understanding and readability?
 Grammar: Is the writing free of grammatical errors such as subject-verb agreement issues, incorrect verb tenses, etc.?
 Usage: Does the student use words correctly? For instance, are there any issues with homophones (words that sound alike but have different meanings, like "there," "their," and "they're")?
